Blue Bunting cut to 6/1 St Leger after Yorkshire Oaks success

A triumphant Frankie Dettori rode Blue Bunting to victory at York today in the Yorkshire Oaks. The market responded immediately, with her price cut to 6/1 (from 8/1) for the Doncaster Classic by both Victor Chandler and SkyBet.

Before punters go piling in off the back of today’s success however, there are a couple of things to note. Firstly that Sheik Mohammad has stated that options should be kept open to her, and this will most likely have a direct correlation to the record of fillies in the Leger. User Friendly was the last filly to win the race back in 1992.

Vita Nova ran well for Henry Cecil to finish second, but always held by the Godolphin star, whilst Wonder of Wonders could only manage third place after coming to challenge but getting unbalance under pressure.
