Tuesday Night Carling Cup Preview, Premier Progression, Draws Elsewhere

September 20, 2011

Seven Selections in this evenings Carling Cup for me this evening, and they primarily focus on premier League Clubs progressing and a number of the games going to extra time after drawing at the 90 minute mark.

I don’t think there will be any huge shocks amongst the Tuesday night ties in the Carling Cup. We can wait till Wednesday for that. (more tomorrow). I have chosen seven matches I feel I want to play in, and as such, as well as playing my normal singles, I shall implement a small stakes example of the Strategy for Seven Selection piece i wrote last month. You can find the article HERE, where I explain a strategy of playing seven yankess across seven selection.

My pick for Tuesday then will be

  1. Burnley v MK Dons – DRAW
  2. Nottingham Forest  v Newcastle United – DRAW
  3. Aston Villa v Bolton – DRAW
  4. Blackburn v Leyton Orient – BLACKBURN
  5. Aldershot v Rochdale – DRAW
  6. Stoke City v Tottenham Hotspur – TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
  7. Wolves v Millwall – WOLVES

These are the seven selections and will be played in the following numbered combinations.

1236 – 1245 – 1357 – 1467 – 2347 – 2567 – 3456

So, Yankee No1  will be Burnley DRAW – Forest DRAW – Villa DRAW – Spurs AWAY WIN

Again the bet is to low stakes due to the number of draws included, the returns per yankee if successful will be anything from 10x stake to 30x stake depending on the configuration of correct results. 5 Correct results will guarantee one correct yankee along with a large number of outside bets in the others. The key results in this strategy would be any of the draws of course, as they represent the higher odds, but Spurs AWAY WIN would also be a good contribution to any combinations.

For staking purposes we will say these are 1/10th Point yankees, with a total stake of 7.7points.
