No Confidence in Manchester City

August 21, 2011

Why is it I see what i think is a decent 4/5 about Manchester City to go to Bolton today and win, and then cant press the button?

Certainly i know I am not having a bet in the match now, any hesitation and that’s it for me, I will not play. But for a team I first thought would be the only one to get near to Manchester united this season, i should have more confidence. Manchester United will win the Premier League, I am very very confident of that an as such have a fairly good investment at 6/4 for the outcome. Behind them, I have City. Or, do I? If i did, or at least really thought I did with any level of confidence, surely i would be pressing the button that bets they will beat Bolton at the Reebok. Certainly, if I am not sure that this is the type of match they can pick up maximum points in, then I cannot consider them title contenders. I am actually siding more with a draw for the game now.

Bolton v Man City is the final game of three this Sunday. First, Norwich entertain Stoke City at 1.30pm. Norwich didn’t disappoint me last weekend as the side of those promoted that would perform best on opening day. I think they could also get another point against Stoke today

If I was to have a single bet on the Premier League today it would most likely be for the game between Wolves and Fulham to end all square. Fulham remain goalless after drawing 0-0 with Villa last weekend, and Wolves are coming off the back of an away win to kick-start their season when they went to Blackburn and raided.

I’m going to play the Norwich v Stoke and Wolves v Fulham to end in draws in a very speculative 1/4pt double.
