Many people are expecting free-spending Liverpool to finish in front of Arsenal this season as the two clubs clashed at the Emirates on Saturday Liverpool runing out the winners. The first time they have done so on Arsenal turf for 11 years! bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth “Liverpool have been popular in pre-season for a top four finish and even in the outright betting, whereas we couldn’t give Arsenal away. “However, both will have to improve considerably from the opening weekend if they want to get anywhere near the Manchester boys and Chelsea.” 2011/12 Arsenal/Liverpool Specials Premier League Season Matchbet Arsenal 4/5 Liverpool 10/11 To Win A Trophy Neither 4/6 One Only 11/8 Both 14/1 Top 4 Finish Neither 4/1 One Only 2/5 Both 4/1

Soccer – Bond insists Modric stays

Soccer – Bond insists Modric stays

Tottenham – 7/2 with bet365 to finish in the top four of the Premier League - Playmaker Luka Modric is not going anywhere in the transfer window despite Chelsea courting the midfielder, according to assistant boss Kevin Bond. Bond, who was speaking on Friday after Spurs’ stunning 5-0 victory over Hearts in the Europa League on Thursday, stated that the Croat would not be leaving north London anytime soon. Further speculation over Modric’s future was fuelled last night by his absence from Tottenham’s side in Scotland, but Bond said that was purely down to an injury to his thigh. Bond told the BBC: “The chairman’s (Daniel Levy) made it quite clear that Luka won’t be leaving the football club, and probably I don’t see that changing at all.” Spurs face a tricky visit to Old Trafford on Monday night to face Manchester United – they are 9/2 to beat...

Last Minute Equaliser Saves Leeds United

Last Minute Equaliser Saves Leeds United

The goals keep coming if Leeds are in town and they didn’t disappoint today as they travelled to Upton Park. Simon Grayson has yet to rectify the defensive frailties that have been all too apparent not only already this season, but all through last year too. Luckily however, they can still score goals, although they left it very very late to rescue a point from this game versus West Ham. The Hammers went in front after just 6 minutes as Carlton Cole struck. Leeds missed a penalty in the first half and the score was 1-1 at the break. Leeds got one back on 59 minutes with a McCormack goal, but just two minutes later surrendered the lead as Kisnorbo put through his own net to regain the lead for West Ham. It was down to 22 midfielder Adam Clayton to score his first goal for the club in...

Lord Ryeford can win with Weight in Hand – Newton Abbot Sunday

Lord Ryeford can win with Weight in Hand – Newton Abbot Sunday

On a card with a number of small field today, the feature race at 3.00pmis the Lord Mildmay Memorial Handicap Chase, a class 1 handicap run over 2m5f110yds. 15 of the original 16 are due to go to post since Bushwacker was withdrawn and my fancy for the race is Lord Ryeford from the yard of Tom George. He ran in this race two years ago, finishing fourth on a mark some 12lbs higher than he need carry today. Since then, he has been seen under rules only after a years break and then in Hunter Chases before returning to handicap company in June. Reappearing with a mark of just 113, a good run at Ffos Las was followed a win at Bangor for which he goes out today nine pounds higher. The win at Bangor was comfortable though and it looks like the old ability remains. A decent...

Bodugi.com – A Review of the Social Betting Site –

Bodugi.com – A Review of the Social Betting Site –

I stumbled across this after noticing that Dave Nevison has changed his Twitter moniker. Bodugi_Dave as he is now known. You arrive at the home page www.Bodugi.com and a sea of Dark Blue is broken up by the Orange of Bodugi and the informational boxes for a ” New Game”, or “Filling Now”, even “Play Now”. So, before i knew what i was doing, I have chosen and event, a free one, and started choosing my selections. Already I am playing, and I’ve no idea what it that I am doing. I don’t know the scoring system, I don’t know if there IS a scoring system. I’ve just been bowled along by the fact that I am playing already and haven’t seen an instruction. If you go back to the home screen there is, in fact, some small information about the site, what it is and how to play....

West Ham United v Leeds United – A walk in the Upton Park for WHU

Simon Grayson brings his Leeds United side to upton park this Sunday with the cry, “We can beat anyone!” Whilst i can agree with that, I will also add the waiver, “…………………..if you score 4 or more goals”. For Leeds issue, not for now but for all of last season as well, was defence. Or the lack of it. Always prone to conceding a hatful, Leeds will always be vulnerable as has already been highllighted when they travelled to St Marys to face Southampton on day 1. West Ham have played oly once at Upton park so far, losing in out in a game with a single goal to Cardiff City. They showed they are fairly dangerous in front of goal when smashing Watford last weekend. Leeds will probably put up a bit more of a fight, but ultimately, soemthing defensively is most likely to let them down.

No Confidence in Manchester City

Why is it I see what i think is a decent 4/5 about Manchester City to go to Bolton today and win, and then cant press the button? Certainly i know I am not having a bet in the match now, any hesitation and that’s it for me, I will not play. But for a team I first thought would be the only one to get near to Manchester united this season, i should have more confidence. Manchester United will win the Premier League, I am very very confident of that an as such have a fairly good investment at 6/4 for the outcome. Behind them, I have City. Or, do I? If i did, or at least really thought I did with any level of confidence, surely i would be pressing the button that bets they will beat Bolton at the Reebok. Certainly, if I am not sure...
