Npower Championship remains as mad as a Box of Frogs

Npower Championship remains as mad as a Box of Frogs

Southampton and Derby retain 100% records. Reading lose at home again. Crystal Palace win away and Peterborough put 7 (seven) past Ipswich!! Just another regular predictable weekend in the Npower Championship then! This division is as mad as it gets so far. No one would have predicted the top four position in the division at this stage of the season would be occupied by two teams promoted from League One just last season, a Derby side who were just about the most inconsistent last season and have spent next to nothing in the summer, and finally, a Crystal Palace side that only just escaped relegation in May. Trying to predict whats happening at the top is an impossibility. The best place to be looking for bets now in this division is with teams toward the bottom. Coventry and Doncaster were certainly forecast to struggle this season, and Watford too,...

Stan James on board for Odds Comparison

Stan James on board for Odds Comparison

I received confirmation today that Stan James will be providing odds for my odds comparison boxes. Good News! I will continue to work on the others for the remainder of the week and see what we can achieve by next weekend.   Just returned from Bournemouth beach where the air show took place again today and quite sad to know that after the Red Arrows finished performing, there was a crash and one of the pilots, John Egging (red 4) was killed. Taken the edge off the day for sure.

Nunthorpe Stakes Preview and Odds

Nunthorpe Stakes Preview and Odds

I saw something mentioned in an article this week that 2yo’s have a good recent record in this race. Certainly before Kingsgaite Native won this a couple of years ago, that would not have been a statement we would have seen published. That said, i did buck the trend and have the winner there, if I remember rightly, it was my nap of the day too, and i remember listening to the race on the radio, sat under a tree in the shade near Moreton-in-the-Marsh. Funny what you remember sometimes! Anyway, we have just one 2yo in attendance for the 2011 renewal, and he comes in the form of Molecomb stakes winner at Glorious Goodwood, REQUINTO. He struck the front early on, and there he stayed never looking like getting caught and showing maturity beyond his age. Talking of age, the weight for age allowance means he gets in...
