Liverpool play host to Man City on Sunday whilst  5.30pm Kick off on Saturday Features Chelsea V Newcastle Chelsea, coming into the weekend sit atop the table with 6 points, and may very well remain there after Saturdays action, which would make things interesting at Stamford Bridge 5.30. Wednesday night saw them take all three points in a topsy-turvy game at home, when taking the lead only to fall 1-2 behind to newly promoted Reading. But in a carbon copy of Manchester City’s game against, again, Newly promoted Southampton last week, the home side found a brace of goals, and in fact a fourth to run out comfortable 4-2 winners on the night, and with 5 assists already this season, a wonder-buy in Eden Hazard. Let’s preview each of the top flight games: Swansea City v West Ham United Swansea, if taking all three points in their first home...

Football: Premier League 2012/13 Opening Games

A quick look at this weekends opening games of the season in the Premier League and what we might expect to find for a betting angle In all honesty, it doesn’t seem a moment go Aguero was sticking the most unlikely of goals in the back of the QPR net to clinch the most ridiculous of Premier League titles to date. Only a blink away from Reading, Southampton and West Ham making the leap from Championship to top flight English football, the former as Champions, the latter through the Play-0ff lottery. With the Euro’s and the Olympics squeezed in between, it seems the break has been short and the talk about everything but the Premier League. (with the exception of the “will he-wont he” RVP saga, which has thankfully come to a close with a move to Manchester United). Onto Match Day One then…………. HOME WIN OF THE WEEKEND My interest...

Champions League: Gunners can shoot down Milan

No opportunities for a bet in the Zenit v Benfica game in the Champions League on Wednesday so all eyes turn to Milan and how they can contain Arsenal 9 points became six in the MOB betting bank in last nights games in the Champions League, but some redress cold be found tonight in Italy as AC Milan host Arsenal in their first leg game. Milan sit atop what, to be fair, is a mediocre Serie A table and although winning 2 of their 3 home games in the group stages, they did so only against the likes of Viktoria Plzen and BATE. they managed a brace of goals in the final game against Barcelona but the visitors did run out quite comfortable winners on the night by a 2-3 scoreline. Arsenal did not light any huge fires on their travels in the group stages, but are more than capable of...

Arsenal now get going in Transfer Market since Champions League Qualification

It has been a quiet summer at the Emirates Stadium and the discourse in North London at the lack of transfer activity, except to mention the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, has been growing louder and louder. It seems now though, after confirming their Champions League group stage status for the season with a win at Udinese on Tuesday night, the money looks like it will be released for Arsene Wenger to bring in some much needed cover for the pair that have left. How about some thing at the back as well Arsene? Names now being bandied about are Gary Cahill, Xherdan Shaqriri from FC Basel, or how about Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol. No certainties amongst them, but there is rarely smoke without fire, and It looks likee it could be a busy weekend for Arsenal.

UEFA Champions League Draw, Analysis, Betting Odds & Tips – Group F

Here I take a look at the Champions League Draw and give some early prediction for the two sides from each group to progress. Each group will also have its own odds box to show the best odds available for each. Group F: Arsenal, Marseilles, Olympiakos, Borussia Dortmund This looks a horrid group for Arsenal, and how Wenger will be wishing he had the luck of Alex Ferguson and his group for this years first group stage. A basic round up of this group is that we never know, or at least certainly are not able to rely on Arsenal as a rule, much less so now with Cesc and Nasri departed. Also in the Group the German champions Borussia Dortmund, as we see yet another group with and England v Germany match up. Marseilles will have a say, they have no fear in going forward and taking teams,...

Champions League Draw – England v Germany – Manchester v Munich

The circus that is the Champions League draw has been completed. Yes, there are some interesting match ups, there always are, but the most obvious thing this year is English Teams versus German teams in three groups. Manchester City and Bayern Munich go head to head in the already Dubbed “Group of Death” Group A. Chelsea will meet Bayer Leverkusen in group G Arsenal face Borussia Dortmund in Group F Champions League Outright Betting Odds below Barcelona are short, very very short in the betting and next come Manchester United. If either City, Chelsea or Arsenal are fancied to lift the trophy this season there are some big prices available, but again, the layers have this between last years finalists.

Wenger will now be on the touchline for Arsenal v Udinese, but Nasri has gone to Manchester City

EUFA backed down in the appeal by Arsenal to allow Arsene Wenger to be on the touchline for Wednesdays crucial Champions League Qualifier against Italians Udinese. After triggering a suspended sentence from last season when illegally passing info to the bench int he first leg, EUFA stepped in and handed the ban out. Arsenal appealed an got their own way. That’s one battle they won today, another, the departure of Samir Nasri to Manchester City is one they lost. Or indeed, did they? The 24 year old French International has moved for a reported £24m to an incredibly expensive squad, built to take on the best in the Premier League. They offer what looks like the only real opposition to Manchester united this season. Nasri was due to travel to Manchester for his medical as the Gunners squad left for Italy for the game on Wednesday night.

Wenger has More Than One Worry on Wednesday at Udinese as Arsenal look to progress in the Champions League

Arsenal may have to defend their 1-0 advantage versus Udinese without manager Arsene Wenger on the bench on Wednesday night in Italy. After being warned about passing messages onto his coaching staff in the first leg at the Emirates last week, he continued to do so, which saw him breach of a suspended ban from the match against Barcelona in the final 16 last season. A two match ban was therefore initiated and imposed. Arsenal have appealed, but there are no assurances, even if successful, that it will come in time for him to be on the touchline for this return leg where the gunners have only a slender 1-0 lead. After losing to Liverpool at home at the weekend, Wenger has to rally his troops to up their game at the Stadio Communal Friuli. This will be only the second competitive game for Udinese this season as they...

Many people are expecting free-spending Liverpool to finish in front of Arsenal this season as the two clubs clashed at the Emirates on Saturday Liverpool runing out the winners. The first time they have done so on Arsenal turf for 11 years! bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth “Liverpool have been popular in pre-season for a top four finish and even in the outright betting, whereas we couldn’t give Arsenal away. “However, both will have to improve considerably from the opening weekend if they want to get anywhere near the Manchester boys and Chelsea.” 2011/12 Arsenal/Liverpool Specials Premier League Season Matchbet Arsenal 4/5 Liverpool 10/11 To Win A Trophy Neither 4/6 One Only 11/8 Both 14/1 Top 4 Finish Neither 4/1 One Only 2/5 Both 4/1
